Latest Update 6th February, 2012

The Jubilee Choir was founded by Ian Ledsham in 2002 to celebrate Her Majesty The Queen's Golden Jubilee. We perform a wide variety of choral music, from classical masses to modern pieces, sometimes accompanied by professional soloists and an orchestra or individual musicians .

We have twin aims - to entertain people and to have in the choir singers from each decade. We are particularly keen to encourage singers in the 16-40 age group.

Bursaries are available for young singers aged 15-18 in full time education, in any voice part, who wish to participate in the choir and who will be given an opportunity to perform solo.   Go to the events page for our schedule.

The Jubilee Choir is reliant upon the generosity of its supporters to fund projects
that would otherwise not take place. We are very grateful to the following, who have supported us in recent concerts:

All Saints' Church, Odiham
All Saints' PCC
The Baltic Exchange
Anthony Cook - Chairman, Baltic Exchange
Michael Drayton - Vice Chairman, Baltic Exchange
ES Management Systems Ltd - for the web site, printing of publicity material and programmes

Ian Ledsham

Ian Ledsham, the inspirational leader and founder of the Jubilee Choir was tragically killed in a major road accident on 7th September 2005 in Ropley, Hampshire.

Ian was a most talented musician, an ex Cambridge organ scholar with a diverse range of musical interests, both religious and secular. We are grateful for the privilege of knowing him and learning from him, and miss him very much.

Our Director from 2006-2011 was Ben Noithip, who has now moved to another part of the country.  Our interim Director is Jane Palmer.
